During the first week commencing our final major projects, we were given progress checks for our previous genres project. This progress check was useful to me as I now know what I need to do in order to make sure that I get the grade that I need on my final major project.

In your FMP extend your analysis to show a deeper understanding, explain the effects of certain techniques photographers are using. Also explain in detail reasons for liking something and the impact your techniques are having on your work.

From this feedback, I understand that I need to provide more detail and depth to my analysis. I also need to expand my explanations and give reasons.

I also started to write a proposal draft for my final major project during this week. I was able to do this because I was already sure on what I wanted my project to be about. To help guide my proposal writing, I referred to a top tip post made by my tutors on google classroom. I then wrote a basic outline for each category: review, concept, and evaluation.

Beginning to research ideas and artists for my final major project is something else that I did this week. This included finding out about fashion photographers, Helmut Newton and Bruce Weber. As well as watching a documentary by fashion photographer Rankin.
