First shoot evaluation

Today I carried out my first photo shoot for my final major project. This shoot involved taking both 20s and 30s inspired images. I used two front covers of vogue to inspire me for this shoot.

In preparation for this shoot I arranged a model and booked out the lighting studio. I also booked out equipment from the college store. This equipment included a camera, tripod, flask kit, reflector, and a soft box. Here is my booking reference:

I had previously researched a lighting set up which would enable me to create a vintage, 20s and 30s look.

I also decided to use a black background for this shoot, as it would reinforce the vintage look.

In order to set up the correct camera settings for this shoot, I began with taking a few test images.

After the shoot, I uploaded all my images onto my final major project folder, then edited my favourite images using photoshop.

Here are my two favourite images from this first photo shoot. I was particularly pleased with the lighting set up that I used, as I feel that it allowed me to achieve the vintage look.
