Before carrying out my first photo shoot, I must create a risk assessment. Risk assessments are very important as they help to create awareness of hazards, as well as identifying who may be at risk. In this case, I had to take the safety of both me and my model into consideration.

I filled out a health and safety risk assessment template in preparation for my first photo shoot. Examples of risks include tripping over cables, touching hot lights, and lifting heavy equipment.

I will continue making these risk assessments for each photo shoot that I do.
